The Renaissance Singers is a registered charity and is funded through member subscriptions and ticket sales. We also benefit enormously from the generosity of our Friends and, for occasional special projects, grant-giving organisations.

Friends Scheme 2011-12

Membership of the Friends of the Renaissance Singers is an opportunity for audience members to feel more involved in the choir and to give their support to the choir's work. 

The choir benefits from having a known source of advance income and having a core of regular singers at our popular Open Workshops (though you do not need to be a singer to join the scheme). In order to join the scheme we ask for a minimum donation of £30 per annum (£50 for joint membership at the same address). Members are entitled to:

 

1. •Entry to all workshops for £6 (normally three per annum)
   

2. •Invitation to an annual pre-concert talk or similar exclusive reception
   

3. •Advance notice of all choir events
   

4. •4-5 newsletters per year
   

5. •A free programme at all concerts
   

6. •Discounts on entrance to special events such as Meet the Artist
   

7. •Credit as a Friend in concert programmes, if desired

Donations 

If you would like to make a donation to support the choir please do get in touch. Our regular programme is funded primarily through member subscriptions and ticket sales, but we always appreciate additional support which means we plan special projects, such as collaborations with instrumental groups and professional soloists, purchase equipment and provide places for students. 

Examples of how we could benefit from your generous support are: 

£50 will purchase 5 new concert folders

£100 will purchase a new set of music

£350 will pay for a professional instrumentalist or soloist to join us for a special concert
